A Very Brief Overview of ConvrtX/Josh Adler

Josh Adler is Canadian, and he runs a tech company called ConvrtX. ConvrtX advertise themselves as "an award-winning venture ecosystem supporting startup entrepreneurs through a formulaic & holistic approach". They have a registration in Ontario, but appear to primarily operate from the United Arab Emirates.

*Image screen grabbed from a website crawler capturing information from February 2022. This is no longer on their website as of March 2023. In the approximate three years of ConvrtX operating, we have yet to find any evidence of them completing a project in accordance with the scope they agreed. To date, we are aware of over 10 projects which have not been completed, are severely over deadline, and do not appear to ever be getting completed at the original agreed cost. Multiple clients are currently going back and forward with a Compliance Officer hired by ConvrtX who goes by the name David Mandel. We are unaware of his credentials, but he has advised multiple clients that ConvrtX will begin legal action if they say anything negative about ConvrtX online. They have also refused to provide any refunds, even for projects which are one year overdue and nowhere near the standard expected. Josh/ConvrtX appear to have a strategy in onboarding clients. Most clients have found ConvrtX through Bark.com. When looking for a software company, ConvrtX has approached them. They provide a sales pitch and timeline which looks promising.

*An example of a quotation given by ConvrtX with timeline. A business plan is then created, and heavy focus is given on this 'attracting investors'. Josh claims to have access to numerous investors, though an ex employee has stated that Josh has never been responsible for raising any funds for clients. He has provided them a list of people to cold call/approach through his side company OpenAdvisor is the allegation made by an ex employee. The business plan has appealed to many clients, and they have then onboarded for app/software development. Most pay in full, or at least make a high percentage payment. This is when things start to fall apart for most. Many are left hanging with no updates for long periods of time, excuses are given surrounding delays, and many have been entirely ignored when asking for updates during the actual development process. What we have no been told is that many projects lay dormant whilst Josh collected payments, and he had no intention of completing any projects to the standard clients expected. Multiple ex employees have stated that when Josh promises clients "A, B, C, and D", he only authorises his dev team to work on "A". He will then use excuses to clients that he was working within scope, that they are asking for changes that were not in the contract and that now more money is owed, or that the project scope was changed. A high level ex employee agreed that ConvrtX could be called a Ponzi scheme. Once the client realises that they have been duped, Josh will either ask for more money to complete the project with the above excuses - or he will hire an unprofessional legal counsel to threaten them with fines/fees/penalties if they ever talk about ConvrtX. One client was even sent sexually inappropriate messages commenting on physical appearance from a legal counsel of ConvrtX: Julius Clarke. Josh was made aware but did nothing about this. We are trying to bring attention to this fraudulent scheme. Bark.com appear to be complicit, as they have been notified but continue to hide negative reviews at the behest of Josh. TrustPilot does show some negative reviews, as does Google, Clutch and GoodFirms. If you look at the positive reviews on each and every review site, you will likely notice a pattern. We have good reason to believe that these positive reviews are fake. Many are direct copy and pastes of other positive reviews. There is no evidence of most of the reviewers names ever being clients.

*A sample of employee reviews from Glassdoor. We have an awful lot of evidence accumulated over a long period of time. It would be far too much to include in one blog post. We will add individual posts on separate subject areas (fake positive reviews, threats from ConvrtX, false promises, and other relevant subjects) for clarity and to provide evidence of the above claims. Feel free to follow this blog to receive updates and full explanations and accounts of what ConvrtX victims have been through.

A Short Update

Well, it appears there has been no luck so far in de-indexing this website from Google despite attempts being made. We are much quieter...
