Fake ConvrtX Reviews on Google?

Having already discussed the suspicious looking reviews on Bark.com, it's time to have a look at the reviews ConvrtX has on Google. Are they as strange and unconvincing as the ones posted on Bark? Let's see.

At the time of posting this blog entry, ConvrtX has 19 reviews on Google. 3 of these are negative; one being mine, another being Steven Marshall, and the third being a victim by the name of TrainingStory. We are still trying to verify this one, but it appears to paint a similar story to that of me and Steven.

But the negative reviews aren't why we are here. We are here to consider if there is anything strange with the other reviews on ConvrtX' Google page. Let's look at Paul A. Knudsen first.

OK, so at first glance, this isn't a review I recognised. No glaring similarities to other reviews. Yes, it has the same usual fluff of the positive reviews, but it looks like it could be legit. However, that profile picture is throwing me a little... it looks a little... posed? A mean, we all love a good pose, but this seems pretty professional? Hmm.

Is Paul A. Knudsen posting pictures of himself on Tumblr, or did someone rip his photo from Tumblr for the purpose of this review? Definitely seems odd, yeah? I wonder if any of the other review profile pictures will show up on a reverse image search?

You might recognise this review and the name Kevin Smith from our blog on the positive Bark reviews. And what do you know - the profile picture got an immediate hit on a reverse image search. Presumably a stock photo that has been used for an article on Teen Sexting. What an odd choice of profile photo for a professional ConvrtX review. Speaking of Kevin Smith... do you remember the similarities he had to Maria Waugh's review on Bark?

She's left a review on Google for ConvrtX also! I'm sure you can see the similarities between her review and Kevin Smith's. And that's not the only thing they have in common... her profile picture got a hit on a reverse image search also. A downloadable photo for using in profiles funnily enough. I'm sure you understand what I am insinuating here. So, are there any more? Of course there are.

First up; Isabella Sharpe. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like a young Elizabeth Hurley? Who coincidentally played Lady Isabella Farthingdale in the television movie Sharpe's Enemy. I have no words at this point. Next, Marvin Roth's profile photo returned an image which is presumably a stock photo, used in a healthline.com article. William L. Drake returns a downloadable profile photo. James Schatz appears in what appears to be yet another stock photo, this time used in bridgestorecovery.com. James Erickson on the other hand appears to be pretending to be the actor Casey Deidrick. And Juan Stevens is member of staff at a research institute - I have omitted which institute and his real name as he appears to be a regular member of the public. Now is this it all? Lol, no.

Camden Clark has been busy! He's left two reviews and apparently had some extensive work done to his appearance in between. The first listed review no longer shows on Google, it has been removed somehow. But fear not ConvrtX, Camden was adamant he was getting his review back up. Not only has his appearance changed, he has gone from being a soccer player, to an actor who features in Vanity Fair! How impressive. I am of course being facetious. I have no reason to believe that either review came from a Camden Clark, I just find it very interesting that this is the activity on ConvrtX Google page. And of course, I am not finished.

A search on Ryan N. Ward's profile picture returns another stock image! Getting a bit ridiculous now, isn't it? But just wait...

"Larry" Brown?

I have no words. Really Josh? This is how you want ConvrtX to appear online? This is 12 of the positive reviews showing on Google. Anyone reading this can come to their own conclusions based on what I have shared. I'm sure you can hazard a guess at my thoughts. What a joke.
