So we've talked a good bit about the client experience of dealing with Josh Adler/ConvrtX. But what do the employees think? Before we have a look at this, it is worth noting that any positive reviews you come across should be taken with a pinch of salt. Don't just take my word for it...
As you can see, Glassdoor has found evidence that someone has been trying to artificially inflate the reviews on the ConvrtX page, which for me personally throws into question the validity and reliability of any positive reviews.
But let's have a look at what the negative reviews say.
This is a rather interesting review. It specifically states:
They have a problem when it comes to old projects. Development cannot finish because every team that handles the said projects will later be fired.
This very much aligns with the stories I've been told by clients who do not wish to be named, but are in current terse talks with David Mandel, Compliance Officer of ConvrtX: legal qualifications unknown. I was also bemused at the comment about fake positive articles relating to ConvrtX. I've long considered that the positive articles online are paid for pieces sourced through UpWork, but cannot state this definitively without evidence. But it's definitely interesting that an ex employee also states this.
Let's have a look at another review.
Now this is a very interesting one to read. I would recommend reading the whole thing, but would like to bring specific attention to this little gem:
Many times I wondered if this company was just ripping off clients which is why I left in the end.
And then:
There are many, many clients who have not received their products, and who are trying to take legal action.
If you've read all of the other blog posts on the website, you'll likely agree that this is what I've been saying all along.
So it's not just clients who believe the company is a scam. It's people who have worked there too! I've actually personally spoken to many ex employees, some of which worked on the project I commissioned. They have given me very specific details and evidence, all of which has been passed to Police Scotland. Due to the ongoing investigation and also due to some of the evidence being able to easily identify the individuals, I can't share these online at present. But do make sure you read what is publicly available because it's certainly not any better.
Steer clear of anything linked to Josh Adler is my own advice to everyone.
